Was 3 diamond Hotel, still the same standard, but just did not renew due to cost. BUT I passed Bournemouth Quality Standard Oct 06. All rooms are non-smoking, but you can smoke in the bar. The small hotel bar is usually closed during the week in the winter. If guests requires drinks, then it will be opened by request. Payment like all other small hotels is on arrival. Commodore Hotel was used to house American airmen in WW2. Today, following refurbishment, each bedroom has a brand-new bed with luxurious duvets and pillows, and Gilchrist and Soames toiletries. Bathrooms have new fittings and power showers.
